Dave came home on Thursday and he is recovering at home with his wife and pups. He is still experiencing a lot of pain. We all hope the surgery was successful and his recovery is quick.
Keep praying for him. Thanks.
Peace & blessings to all
My blog's focus started out as an exercise to help me learn to live with the deep grief I was experiencing after my daughter's unexpected death. Looking back on the blog I truly hope some of the posts have touched other people's hearts who are living with the heartbreak of losing someone they love. Many years later the focus shifted to include things that I find interesting or compelled to share but I have never lost the main focus of the blog--GRIEF. (updated Jan 2024)

Monday, Jan 16
It has been an extremely long day for us (Danielle, Melanie, Fred, & me) but nothing compared to what Dave went through. The surgery itself was 4.5 hours. Fred and I didn't see him afterward because he was having a really rough time. We hope he feels better tomorrow and each day he gets stronger and stronger.
Please continue to pray for him that he has a speedy recovery. God be with him.
Thank you.

A Cause for Celebration
There is no better way to begin the New Year than by reminiscing about all the wonderful accomplishments of 2011! Your daily clicks on the purple button and continued shopping at The Animal Rescue Site store funded nearly 80 million bowls of food. Achieving so much for animals in need is definitely a cause for celebration!
Please resolve to keep your charitable efforts going strong in 2012: Remember to click daily and shop often in support of creatures great and small. Thank you!

First day of the year at LBI
What better place to be on January 1?
I wasn't the only one who makes a visit to the beach
on the first day of the year. There were a few dogs,
fishermen, shell hunters, wind surfer, and
a bunch of people just strolling along the coast
enjoying the sun and the beauty of the day.
