Christmas 2012: Aunt Angie, Aunt Rose, Craig, Sharon

Another good person left this planet--our Aunt Rose. As cousin Kim said "she has passed on to a much sweeter world than ours." I will always remember Aunt Rose as a sweet, kind, and fun-loving person who never liked to say a bad word about anyone. I will treasure our memories of the trip to Italy in 1975 (a long time ago but so clear in my mind because of the fun we shared). My first Thanksgiving in North Jersey was spent at the JC house, which was filled with Fred's aunts, uncles, and cousins. From that day on, I was partial to my mother-in-law's family. Uncle Charlie use to tease me that I was an out-law but he did it with a smile and love in his heart. No one in the Restivo family ever made me feel like an "out-law."

Aunt Rose suffered a tough journey this past year. She was blessed to have her sons, Craig and Ronnie. They took great care of her and showered her with love. They respected her wishes to the very end and they helped her die with her dignity.

Remember to count your blessings and enjoy time with the ones you love.

9/14/12: FB message from Kim--
After 91 years of life, my Aunt Rosie went home to be with Jesus. Her home was a constant reminder that she believed in God. Everywhere you turned there was some sort of reminder that we don't walk alone on this earth. That there is something far greater than all of us. Her services were beautiful. A passage was read about being a Mom. It was very touching and reminded me of all the things my Mom and my Aunt Rosie did for my sisters and cousins. It talked about being a young Mom and traveling thru the life of being a Mom and ending with what as a Mother we leave behind when we arewith whomever or whatever you believe in. I heard bits and pieces that reminded me of so many of the women I know in my life. My Aunt saw many things over her 91 years and had wisdom that only someone like your Aunt can share. I'll miss her. But I know, I know, she's walking with Jesus. She's probably talking his ear off......guess that runs in the family.
